Rejoice, My Friends, For the Holidays Are Upon Us

Hey, guys!

Guess what? The holidays are here! (Yes, I'm being sarcastic. We all know)

It's not all partying, though! For many of us seniors, we've got some serious studying to do, so no breaks for us (Serious seniors are serious). Anyway, that aside, for our Muslim friends, it's also nearing the end of fasting! Which means 'balik kampung' to visit relatives, feasting on traditional Malay cuisine and just plain enjoying themselves for our Muslim friends. For those who have already left for their respective hometowns and you non-Muslims who just wanna 'makan angin' and have fun with family at someplace cool like Penang, we here at Seafield.FM bid you a Selamat Hari Raya and also a safe journey.

Also, Independence Day is just a few days away so show your patriotism people! I know some of you guys might not like some of things the Government or the politicians say, but that aside, Malaysia is really a wonderful place. We're rich in natural resources, fauna and flora (as we're always bragging about it in Moral textbooks and whatever), we have a whole spectrum of cultures and beliefs. We are truly unique. Cheap slogans and ad campaigns won't make us be united and love our country. It's up to us, really. It all boils down to whether we want a better Malaysia or not and whether we're willing to take a stand and make a change. So to everyone who's reading this, we wish you a Happy Merdeka.

Again, shows will be resumed after the holidays and you can all expect to chill in the morning to some of today's best music.

I apologize in advance because I might potentially bum you out by sounding like a teacher (or many of your parents), but keep safe, lay off the computer and the junk food and get some exercise so you can drop a few pounds and wow your girlfriends when you get back to school, or in the case of guys, get ripped and get challenged all the time by dirtbag Jersey Shore-types (You know who you are). But more importantly, pick up a book! Any book, really. Fill up that brain before it turns to mush. Who knows? You might be that new "smart kid" and have no friends (I was kidding about that no friends part). Now that's all said and done, Imma' sign out now.

Much love,
Seafield.FM
