Being Safe on the Road

The No Phone Zone campaign by Oprah Winfrey will be brought to Malaysia by HELP University College and the Department of Road Safety (JKJR). This week-long campaign aims to promote awareness about the dangers of using mobile phones while driving through activities, competitions and pledges.

Valentines Day Re-cap!

Hey there! So I know this is kinda late, forgive me. But this is a re-cap of our show last Friday, Valentines Day Special! February is the Month of Love and because of that, Seafield.fm has done a survey to find out the most favorite Valentines Day gift to be received by Seafield students.

So the top 5 are,

#5 Crafts : you know things that are hand made, made personally or either bought, they can be easily customized so therefore, having a more specific meaning to the partner.

#4 Cards : Simple yet meaningful, words written by ink can bring lots of meaning to the partner.

#3 Teddy Bears : Cute and fluffy, something to hold tight while the other is away. My personal favorite too.. xP

#2 Flowers : A long time tradition, flowers. It is said that it could be a test. Can the partner take care of the flower and keep it alive? But that's not its only meaning by the way.

#1 Confectioneries : Basically, food. sweets, chocolates, nasi lemak and much more fall into this category. Literally, people did ask for nasi lemak while the survey was carried out. I guess this Valentines Season started off with an empty stomach! xD

Alright so thats the top 5 by SMK Seafield. Well if you were wondering where was DJ Apple or Debbie, she couldn't make it last minute and therefore was replaced by DJ A.RON.

Yo whaddup! So after the New Year and the recent Chinese New Year, an emotional season draws closer. 14 February has always been a significant day to us since 500AD. Valentines Day, a day set to to show our loved ones how much we care about them, fills us with hype and nervousness as we prepare to do extraordinary things for that special someone. Special someone? It could be anyone in our society. Perhaps someone we are in a relationship with, or a friend, sibling or family member, teachers or even our pets.

Its gonna be Friday and most of us are looking forward to the upcoming Chinese New Year holidays. As usual, most of us will be riding back to our hometowns and wow, there is food and money everywhere! Family reunion dinners bring us all together and we just eat and eat and eat. But would'nt that be unhealthy?
